Early Career Scientists Assembly (ECSA)
The NCAR/UCAR Early Career Scientist Assembly (ECSA) provides a forum to discuss career development topics and to host scientific leaders in the atmospheric sciences. The ECSA is a subsection of the NCAR Scientist Assembly and is composed of Scientists I/II, Project Scientists I/II, Associate Scientists, and Postdoctoral Scientists. We have representation at the executive committee of the NCAR Scientist Assembly, so we can help guide actions taken by NCAR scientists as a group.
NCAR Scientists' Assembly (NSA)
The NCAR Scientists' Assembly (NSA) exists to foster a community of mutual respect and cooperation within NCAR/UCAR, to facilitate effective scientist participation in the management of NCAR, to facilitate scientific interaction across NCAR/UCAR, to enhance communication in matters of concern to NCAR scientists and management, to engage NCAR scientists' skills in the guidance of NCAR’s programs, and to advise NCAR management and UCAR governance concerning scientific policy and related matters affecting the institution.
Young Scientists Network for AIMES
To foster collaborations among Young Scientists on integrative research to better understand the role of humans in perturbing biogeochemistry and climate.
NCAR Postdoc/Graduate Student Association
The Advanced Study Program supports the NCAR Fellows Association, a group whose membership includes any and all postdoctoral fellows and graduate students working at or visting NCAR.
Girl Scouts at NCAR
Also known as Climate and Weather: The Two Go Together is a program that allows Girl Scouts in Colorado to spend one day at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO learning about weather and climate, performing hands-on activities related to these topics, and interacting with female scientists.
