Goals: 1. Study cloud processes in climate models under the new NSF Science and Technology Center (STC) on Milti-Scale Modeling of Atmospheric Processes (MMAP). 2. Teach a two-quarter class on boundry layer turbulence and clouds. 3. Research on the development of WRF-LES and its nesting capability, and to help UCLA to build their coupled model of WRF and a regional ocean model.
