Three-dimensional Extensions of the Dynamic Retrieval Concept

From the selected studies discussed in the previous section, it is evident that the dynamic retrieval analysis has proven useful for the study of a variety of atmospheric phenomena for convection and mesoscale circulations. A number of authors have proposed extensions to the theory in order to extend the usefulness of the technique. A number of studies have tried to extend the analysis to three dimensions in order to eliminate the vertical variation in the unknown constant of integration that appears at each level in the dynamic retrieval methods discussed thus far.
